The Maseeh College has allocated limited funds to provide one-time, temporary help to students who are struggling financially due to an emergency situation outside of their control. Funds are designed to help students currently enrolled in a Maseeh College degree program, in good academic standing, and with unmet financial need who are having significant monetary hardship brought on by an event or series of events that were unexpected and outside of their control. For ongoing financial challenges, students will be referred to Financial Aid and the Financial Wellness Center.  

Maseeh College students may use the Student Emergency Fund application below to apply for tuition funds and/or hardship funds for immediate use (housing, food, etc.)

• PSU Financial Wellness Center offers free financial coaching
• Legal services students are available for free
• PSU also has general emergency funds 
• International students may qualify for the International Student Retention Scholarship
• Graduate School emergency funds are also available for those who qualify and are nominated by a faculty member

Application 

This application will be used to determine eligibility and does not guarantee an award. Funds are prioritized based on circumstances and are awarded to students who are in need of emergency assistance following an emergent event or situation. This is not designed to be an ongoing scholarship or funding source due to ongoing financial hardship.

• Students must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in their Maseeh College degree program in order to receive funds. Due to the limited amount of funds available, priority is given to students who are within their final three terms of their degree.
• We consider the applicant’s overall financial situation, family commitments, and progress toward graduation. These funds are not meant to subsidize out-of-state travel, and are reserved for students experiencing a financial hardship resulting from an emergent situation which was wholly outside of their control.
• Decisions will be made within approximately three weeks of submission of a completed application.
